Spoils of War - Building Defeated Empires' Ships

Probably not possible, but is there a way using UE to allow you to build another empires' ship when certain conditions are met.

For example once an empire is defeated, who ever possesses their home star system gets a bonus of having access to the defeated empire's ships. The concept being you've sucessfully plundered the defeated empire's ship blueprints.

You could add an extra dimension that each surviving empire get the defeated empire's ships with a civilization twist.
Romulans and Klingons build weaker hulled cloaked versions
Cardassians build with stronger hulls
Federation build with stronger shields and +1 to scan range
Ferengi build with +1 to galactic speed

Maybe it could be done by
giving each empire a full ship list
giving each empire 4 (one for each rival empire) powered structures, like utopia planita, limited to only being build-able on the relevant different empire's homeworld.

So in game it would go something like
Capture Cardassia
Build "Cardassia Planitia"
Have access to all Cardassisan ships.

Capture Qronos
Build "Qronos Planitia"
Have access to all Klingons ships.

interesting idea, but no current code would allow this.

There is code that allows building of minor race ships, but deactivates/uses Utopia Planitia code.
