what did you exactly install before installing the 1920 x 1080 patch?

If I read your post correctly the 1920 x 1080 patch installed correctly on 2 mods before this issue started? have you tested the 2 mods that 1920 x 1080 patch installed correctly?

if so what 2 mods installed correctly and what mod are you having problems with?

how does system "shut down" I have never heard of this type of issue.

The patch is working on Ultimate Mod 5 which was one of the components I selected after posting the issue. The issue is the computer just turns off. I then push the power button and I get the Windows 10 repair screen indicating Windows did not shutdown correctly select repair or restart. I then restart. I started with the first three components on the drop down list. I have an Alienware 18 with 3 tera bites of solid state storage if that helps.

so patch failed on vanilla, balance of power and balance of power large? Do you have those mods installed by the all in one and have you tested them prior to attempting to patch with 1080 patch?

NOTE; I have confirmed the 1080 patch has conflicts with game play on Balance of power due to special code used by Gowron for Galaxy map generation that has not been resolved, but 1080 patch has no issues during installation.

never the less, first thing I would do is verify your current downloads (All in One and 1080 patch)

here is the md5 from this online checker http://onlinemd5.com

1080 patch md5

All in One (zip file) md5

All in One (exe file only) md5

next I would like you to check your windows "event viewer" and post the results from those shutdowns.

first thing I thought of it might be an anti virus issue but complete shut down of system worries me and I hope you continue to investigate this issue.

next question when during installation did system shut down? extracting files or finishing installation?

I hope we can figure out this issue quickly

The installation files check out. I made a text file of the admin event log :

The description for Event ID 875 from source Application Popup cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:
event_viewer1.txt
(5.04 KiB) Downloaded 104 times
I hope this helps.

first, since you are having issues do not attempt to install 1080 patch until we resolve issue

the last 2 logs look related to an unexpected shutdown but has no info to why.

Did you try to install the 1080 patch on 11/15/2019 9:54:22 AM?

I am looking for old error logs with time and date of original crash when system shutdown during installation of 1080 patch.

to do this open event viewer

select/open on left windows logs then select application see "red circle" below

in top panel in "blue circle" scroll though looking for "error" for time and date of last shutdown by 1080 patch

This is from the application window before, during and after the shutdown, due to the number of characters I had to use four posts. I am not sure what you are looking for but I'm willing to learn:

edited by admin, all text was added to event viewer text document to make post easier to read.

that was a lot of info, I will go though it later today. but at first glance it looks like not related to 1080 installer.

I will ask a few questions again

Did you try to install the 1080 patch on 11/15/2019 9:54:22 AM?

What mods do you have currently installed on your system and was 1080 patch applied.

have you tested those mods to see if game will load and display 1920 x 1080?

I first installed the all in one with all mods. I then installed the 1920 x 1080 patch software. After the software install I began installing the 1920 x 1080 patch on all components. At the end of the third component the install just as it was finishing up the computer shut off. The computer has shut off on all subsequent component install attempts. Therefore in an attempt to obtain the information I did another component install in the 11/15/2019 9:54 to 9:56 time frame that morning. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do or supply to you.

Thanks for all the help,
Thomas

from this statement, I have to ask does vanilla and Balance of power (normal) play correctly at 1920 x 1080?

also check if Balance of power (large) will play? I expect it would be corrupt and fail to load since install was interrupted.

on all subsequent component install attempts on the same mod (balance of power large)?

I cleaned all the errors and warnings in the event viewer. I did another component install and it worked for the first component and the computer shutdown on the second. This is from the event log:

that is interesting "KIXTART" is only used by installer to add files to the stbof.res and to installation folder.

but without answering my prior questions any advise is only a guess.
please answer wrote:I have to ask does vanilla and Balance of power (normal) play correctly at 1920 x 1080?

on all subsequent component install attempts on the same mod (balance of power large)?

check C drive for presence of file named "stbof.res"
first
any mods currently installed that the 1080 patch has failed on, must be uninstalled and re-installed by the All in One installer before attempting to patch with 1080 patch.

it might also help if you run 1080 patch as admin? but strange how it works some times

this also might be an antivirus or firewall issue but why it would shutdown system I have no idea.

one other possibility your selected install location might be unavailable.
what is install location of mods?
this part of the log make me think you are installing to a server?

but it sounds like when the 1080 patch failed,
it corrupted the original install this might be causing these shutdown,
but without seeing the state of the install after 1080 patch failure I have no idea why
