Can't install on windows Vista Need help.

I would be truly grateful if i can get step by step instructions on how to in stall botf and top 10 mods on windows vista home premium 32 bit. I tried to use the Jokers patch but couldn't get it to work. I need help on how to use the patch if that will work. Step by step instructions would save me a lot of trouble and I would appreciate it as I want to eventually create my own mod of the game. Please help.

jokers patch is already part of installer and not needed, and will even corrupt install now.

vista should have no issues when installing as far as I know

just run installer select what you want installed, after installer is completed just play.

if you post the exact issue you are having I might be able to advise better

I deleted everything and redownloaded botf top 10 mods. when i click on the botf icon to run it says BOTF_Top_10_mods2.0.3.exe is not a valid win 32 application. I tried to run as administrator and with windows xp and 98 capatable still doesn't work. I haven't played the game in like 12 years. I can't remember how i got it to run on Vista in the past. I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

what download version are you using? (beta available now)
sounds like you might have a corrupt download (installer is a 32 bit app)
once we know what version, you should check md5 of downloaded file.

but without getting installer to run I can't be of much help.

note; not sure why vista, but game plays perfectly on windows 10/11 now

Im using a vista 32 bit home premium operating system. the reason why im using this old laptop is because when trying to run botf on my windows 10 laptop the game lagged and froze constantly. I got this old computer to run old programs if need be. I would like to run botf on the vista cpu if possible.

you should have no issues playing BOTF on windows 10, that said you should at least try to see if installer will start on windows 10 to rule out corrupt download.

Maybe its my hotspot thats the problem? Trying one more time if it doesn't work then will try a newer version of windows.

if you were downloading beta file issue is fixed
re-download and test
