I was thinking and did a quick search Stardust started a new account and now goes by "Starblind"

If I don't get a response back for the take over. I have looked into how to add ships and general modding stuff. If I was to add the ships into a brand new mod as this one with my own take on it with possibly new buildings, and other things.....would this be a violation of this mod or the forum?

TBH that is the best way to do it, this way you know the patches you have added.

not sure your plans for the name of your mod, maybe "Beginning of the Empires" or "Empires the Beginning"

just a few suggestions to building your mod,

decide what resolutions development will be based on
decide early on map size/types
if you plan on supporting other resolutions
keep track of file added/edited (UE will do this if added/edited with UE) but manually added/edited files keep in separate folder.
when ships and structures are added keep a high res image for different resolutions
when you add a patches add it to a folder (this make it easier to add/remove for testing and to see if patches conflicts)

I was thinking something along the lines of "Generations". Will try to compile some files that I would like to use and figure out a base build for what the mod will be.

I will try to do as much as I can till I absolutely need help since that is the kind of person I am.
