Hey guys,
I had another crash in this mod, the same one when clicking on a specific planet. Here are the three files for the game and the crash. The download is active for 7 days. https://get.hidrive.com/bWMFVgVQ

Here is the livestream video where it happened: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qobK7LQKklo&t=6s
happened at time index in the video: 42:30 / 1:15:24.

I installed this mod in German and in Full HD resolution.

I hope you can figure out the error. Regards, Bahamut 2703

Flocke might have to take a look at this one.

Lambda Crateris is a system at 4.14. It looks like the borg/monster eliminated all life there at some point? and turned all planets into gas giants :???:

all my attempt to edit system results in ctd on game load

for now I would not click on that sector

this is why I never play with random/borg on

Edit; I was able to manually edit systInfo file and Lambda Crateris is now clickable but afraid we would need to fix your current saved game lol
here is edited saved game (auto)
game10.sav

Thank you, Thunderchero, for your quick reply. That's a good tip from you not to click on the system. I'm almost at the end of the game, and there's not much left to win  .

Yes, the straight forward approach to complete your game.

But it's great you uploaded the savegame. I have not seen this kind of crash before.
As can be found in the systInfo file of auto.sav, the Lambda Crateris I system is completely broken.

Taking a look at the hex code and comparing it to the working Shiralea I system after Borg invasion, you can see that the brgl.ani file names were overwritten by the system name. Given the name exceeds the max animation file name, it also overwrote some additional data.

I could imagine that the game somehow failed to determine the new animation file name and repeated to write the former system name text, because that's already been in the text buffer. Now it would be great if we had a savegame one turn before system extinction by the Borg.

To detemine initial system values, I tried to re-generate the map with same starting seed 1745756600, which can be found in the game configuration tab of UE. ( viewtopic.php?p=30244#p30244 )
But while all systems, races and anomalies are located in same location, it sadly generates complete different system planets and names.

When the exact conditions can be reproduced and the system keeps breaking up, it should be much simpler to find the error in the trek.exe assembler code. But when SCT is in seek for some further issues to investigate, maybe he can find some borgish Tribbles in the code.
A starting point would be viewtopic.php?t=1273

P.S. By the way, you can use the attachments tab below the post edit box to upload small images and files like the savegames directly to AFC forums.
