I would say make sure everyone uses same version of rai mod 1.4.2 in the most active mods installer.



Also most everyone else is on the continuum discord server makes it easy to arrange games.

Update:

So Grady has been absent and iirc we're alright past his window of free time, but fortunately RSE Chris has stepped in to fill his spot.

I originally had round 1's soft deadline at October 7, but seeing as the remaining players have not cited any major time concerns I see no reason to maintain the original deadline. I think it's best to extend it another week to Oct 14th.

In other news, I will be showing updates the results of round 1 when it conclude in about a weeks time.

Luckily for us RSE Chris (Synodic) came in clutch to spot for us.

So Drakon and I have concluded our first round game of the tournament. Good game and well played to Drakon. His Federation surrendered to the Cardassians! I chose settings and chose T4 medium irregular map with some minors and hard difficulty. Drakon chose Federation and I chose Cardassians. I started bottom right corner and at first was sweating a bit because I had so many junky systems and couldnt find any minor races but after expanding I found I had the whole bottom right quadrant to myself. Drakon was in the top left corner but I could tell from the map he had less territory than I and he had to deal with being at war with all 3 AI bot major races. Eventually I found federation space in the center of the map and after a couple of battles the Federation fleet was decimated and a surrender came shortly after!

Around Oct 14 Round is basically complete (excluding the match with Kimino vs Ellis Dee, which has been running into many sync-errors)

EDIT 11/9: I forgot to update the standings here.

Round 1: Ellis and Kimino ran into a similar reccuring sync-error/conflict as last year and could not complete the game. Kimino graciously let Ellis Dee advance to R2.

Round 2: Trevtones conceded to me due to time constraints and the fact in the intel tab he can see I already have 7 minor races to his 1, and a large fleet to boot. Unlucky, but he say's hell be back next year's tournaments!

Seems as the semi finals will be wrapped up soon. I will update OP when we have another victor between Tim Hewer and Ellis Dee. Either way I'm excited to see whom I'll be facing next.

I would be nice to face someone new for once in the finals, but I wouldn't mind giving Tim a good run around for the 4th time in a row. GL & HF.

Here's a little update if anyone missed out on whats going on the discord:

We just started the first finals match (of a BO3). It is me vs Ellis Dee.

He is a strong player and it will be an honor to try and take him down!

Anyhow, the next two tournaments I'll be organizing on discord will be next year. One for RMPM and another for a different MOD we've not decided on yet. I personally hope for FAW, but I'll take on another MOD like UDM or BOP (these I'm not personally a big fan of anymore, but worth considering to make the MP base entertained). There are tons of other mods I'm probably forgetting about but none are out of the question.

I forgot to update like I did on discord. For those asking, yes it is finally over as of December. I fought Ellis Dee and even though I won he did take a game off me leaving the score at 2-1 in the Bo3 set. Well played! But better luck next time.
