game will simply not run

hello.. fresh install of windows 10.. 64 bit.. naturally first thing i did was install botf everything 2.0.3.. started a Klingons game... afterwards... windows 10 did an update and afterwards... dxwnd will not launch ultimate dominion mod or any of the other botf variants that i have.. google AI says i need ther joker patch, but im assuming its already included in the beautiful all in one install... i reinstalled that and i reinstalled direct x 12.. no change am i doing anything wrong ?

PS.. it doesnt crash or anything... dxwnd is the only thing that is running... botf. nothing pops up so nothing shuts down.. simply nothing starts
and yes in windows 10 legacy support is turned on..

not a problem.. but isnt that the one that crashes if my cursor goes over the federation heavy explorer ???
