Only bad relations to minors

Hey, in all of my games so far i got very bad relations with all minors( always 2 points ) when i first meet them. Is this part of the files i installed? I got 2.0.3 with only vanilla and the fixes Mod installed and start the game out of the vanilla folder.

I just wondered about that because i saw several youtube lets players with the same game version who first met minors with different and even (partly) positive relations to minors. In my games theres no exception with all minors starting at 2, partly declaring war from day 1.

This does not seems right. In ECM and thus in vanilla each minor has predefined starting relations for each of the 5 major power. Some good, some bad, but most of the time they start as neutral. Also the federation tends to have more favourable relations from start, but even for them most start at neutral.

Thank you. I started playing with 2.0.4 a few days ago and had the same problem as now with 2.0.3, which i installed in a fresh folder to check if this version has working relations. But i got in both versions the same low relations to minors, no matter which faction i play.

I need to find out what im doing wrong. Is it correct to start the trek.exe out of the vanilla folder?

I did also installed from both versions only vanilla and the fix mod. May i need any of the other mods installed to let vanilla work without the 'bug'?

if I am reading your post correctly, currently you have 2 versions of vanilla installed at the same time?

if so this will not work since game uses registries to locate file location. (both installs using same install path)

I uninstalled 2.0.4 before installing the 2.0.3 version

all versions from installer needs no patch/fix. they are already part of installer.

The fix mod i talked about is the ECM mod.
I tried now launching the game out of the ECM folder instead of vanilla folder and the relations seem to work here. Tested as romulans and the first contact was the Takarans with neutral relations.

Though the language is mixed with german and english in this mod i will continue play this one.

Important info was missing you installed German

if you add this file it should fix your issue. (RC3 will be updated)
