Need Help unpacking the game getting an english error...
I downloaded the UDMIII3.0.i3s from the 4shared website and tried loading it but keep getting an error. I unloaded and reloaded BOTF and the 1.02 patch and reload the files but same error. What am I missing... I want to play again but cannot seem to find the files to upload individually and teh unpacker is not working for me... Any advice?

also 4shared has had problems in past with bigger files so file maybe corupt I will check later

and yes I am using joker's patch. Any ideas... I tried migrating the files into the RES manually to find an issue all files migrated fine with no problems until the ship tech and shiplist files were migrated (had to single out the files to find the problem. For some reason when I migrate them and zip them into the RES file the game does not load at all. Is anyone else having these issues?

Ok what is D:\ is this cd drive, vitaral drive or hard drive. if hard drive this could be your problem installer would look for cd and since it is not a cd installer fails.

just had my best game to date in udm 3 and with no crashes. not finished yet but its been very good game playing as roms and nicking all other ships, i have a fleet of roms and a fleet of klin and a fleet of dom but just keep seem to blow up the cards instead of nicking them.
my spies must not like them very much.
one thing though is that i put it on many but only around 13 minors are on the map. is there a reason for this?
does many produce the same amount of minors each time?
thinking i might now play as feds even though not finished this game but its very laggy an i thin i will start from t1 or t2 this time rather than tech 5
the only race in this game that did nothing was kling.
god i wish i had a game where they all did very well and make it gard at least

First of all Hello!
I'd never expected too find another new BotF mod after all those years!
What I'd least expected was one that damned good!
I just signed in here today and tested the mod for the last two hours and I am just astonished.
I had a few crashes that seem to be related to the 3D Models to some ships - strangely the ones which cause a crash seem to change everytime -
but from what I've read so far you guys are still working on these things.
I still can hardly believe it...

I have started a list and editing mod for an update. "UDMIII 3.0.0"
Changes:
production bar fix for federation interface.
rm-ro tga fix for black background.
toned down minor stats.
increased starbase stats
Coridan Staryard bonus changed from 8000 industry to 100% industry
Symbiont's Raiders Guild changed to % espionage total.
special ships diabled (structure will still give same production bonus)
Upgrading buildings bug (fix)
scrapping ships revenue lowered to 50%
Unknown ship stats pop-up bug (fix)
terraforming image bug
disable check for extra starting systems;
tech 1 home 0 system, tech 2 home 1 system, tech 3 home 2 systems, tech 4 home 3 systems, tech 5 home 4 systems.
25% more systems (Note this will be best played in irregular or elliptilcal)

Sounds like a good to do list.
I know other people are going to come up with a raft of suggestios for ship stats, but all i'm going to suggest is where a few ships sit on the tech tree.
The Klingons getting their Negh'var upgrade at the exact same time as getting their Bird of Death for instance, and the Dominion needing 2 fields at tech 10 for their heavy attack fighter and needing the other 4 fields at 10 to get the upgrade.
I know other people are going to come up with a raft of suggestios for ship stats, but all i'm going to suggest is where a few ships sit on the tech tree.
