Hey all me agian. As you might now, I just found my copy of BotF. I have the game, and my startegy book, but I can't find my manual for it.
I just would like to know, what are the short cuts for. I am surprised ( I guess I am too use to it now) that you can't go into options and replace the shortcuts to what ever you wanted.
I don't know what they are, and would like to know if anyone knows what they are or provide a link to where I can see what they are.
All I know, witch thank god I found were when in your system screen the arrow keys let you go to the next system without using the mouse. Using the mouse was annoying, so am greatfull for the arrow keys.
Are there any other one like this as well?
Where can I go to see what Keyboard short cuts are?

for the files
F1 - galaxy overview
F2 - production menu
F3 - intelligence menu
F4 - research menu
F5 - diplomacy menu
"-Mudd" starting parameter - for "cheating"
F9 - research will be done
look at Thundercheros & Gowrons postings in viewtopic.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=646
to see exactly how it works
F10 - money - gives you 10000 Credits
F11 - shows complete map (1st time pressing it)
pressing F11 again, it hides all star system names but still shows the stars
with it you can also see whats happening in all systems just press it
save before you use F11 just because getting the whole map and showing all systems once, you cant get back the fog of war anymore
edit: thx Flocke the most important ones I've forgotten
edit2: thx to HsojVvad: changed -mudd to -Mudd

Pressing "T" on the galaxy screen should end your turn (works better if the crosshairs are over the map, it seems).
In battle, hit "backspace" to reset the view to the wide-overhead view. This can be done whenever the game is "zooming out", or during the actual battle, if the crosshairs are in the main battle screen.

to start cheating it's "-Mudd" it has to be a capital M.
Yeah I bean doing the -Mudd cheat and then F11 so I can just see what is around me. For me, my first game I wanted Vulcans close to me. It wouldn't be Federation without the Vulcans as the first memeber. Now I don't care, but I hate having small planet systems close to me. I am not having any fun with it, so long as I have 1 large system close to me to colonize I can enjoy it.
My next game I will increase the difficulty, if I am doing good, and I shouldn't care now what is close to me or not.
Thanks for the short cuts guys, it is greatly appreciated.

Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere but this website: http://www.replacementdocs.com/
has downloadable manuals for many games including BOTF.
You need to register to download. Hope someone finds this useful.
