Re: My 1024 version
WOW! I thought the Ferengi graphics would be a pain to do because of the multicolors. How did you do it? Just stretching? It looks *perfect*.
P.S. Just released the patchtool again to fix the grid multipliers once and for all!

Re: My 1024 version
Yes mainly by stretching (some duplications). I would cut off the both ends of an object so not to distort the ends and place them where needed then stretch the straight center section.QuasarDonkey wrote:WOW! Re: My 1024 version
Hi everyone,
I guess some of you guys can count thats all 5 races completed.
I have a test installer for vanilla 1.0.2 version only. (must be unedited no ships or anything)
First expect this file to be updated within the next couple weeks or sooner. So I suggest to create a backup of the stbof.res and trek.exe in a new folder. This way you can revert back to unedited version easily for updates (no uninstaller for this type of update). This should have all the files needed for german version as well as english. Just run the installer it will get the install path from the reg settings and detect if german is installed (it looks for german.snd).
This is mainly for testing and feedback.
BOTF_1.0.2_English_German_1024.exe
I hope everyone like what has been created here.

No problem. Actually I meant for people downloading it, be sure to look at the small galaxy. Because it's small.

It looks great, some minor nitpicks (like the retire button not lined up) but nothing major, very nice. I can make a list if you like...

sure make a list but somethings like the one above I do not see where it is misaligned so you may need to provide some images.Tethys wrote:It looks great, some minor nitpicks (like the retire button not lined up) but nothing major, very nice. I can make a list if you like...
edit I see what you were talking about, that was due to overlay and I have touched it up. But I had to realy zoom in to see it.
also if you can reproduce crashes send me the saved game so I can look at it.

Re: My 1024 version test installer released
Ok I just read the rest of your post, but the Save Game button also looks a little off (and now that I look a little harder, Options as well), so I will leave the image link so you can see it. And thats not little!!!

The crash I think was the normal BotF combat bug crash. The enemy ship was retreating.

I do understand it and it looks right. And amazing by the way.
But why are you working with a german version? If I may ask...
Anyway...
Keep that up. I'm wtting my lips and hope that the bigger mods will be made compatible with this one day...!

Re: My 1024 version test installer released
there was a couple reason why, the original game was released in german, and once english was completed only 63 files needed editing for this project (since most vanilla buttons were not edited). And I did not want to leave our german member out of this project.Kojote wrote:I do understand it and it looks right. And amazing by the way.

that would be up to each mod creator, (at least the ones in progress) but some mods this would be easy to adapt to (if gui is unedied or no new races added) and there are plans for a few mods that the creators are no longer around (with no changes to mod only gui replacement) and would be a patch like this not a full release. possible mods are ECM, BOP, TMPM, AAM and maybe a few more. but this will take time to sort though all the files that would conflict with each mod.Kojote wrote:Anyway...
