Re: Building ships
Build a ship yard and make sure it's powered. You can build or buy ships then, though you'll only be able to build your own ships there, not those of your conquered foe

Re: How to replace planets
Can you be more specific when you mean replace planets? Animations? Planet names? Planet types (M, O, P etc)? The first 2 UE can do, the last has to be hex edited.

Re: How to replace planets
I haven't used UE for quite some time, so I can't guide you through now but my guess is either to load a savegame in it and change it there manually or to change the startup conditions.

Re: How to replace planets
Sorry Im not much help, recent reinstall of Windows I have not many programs installed at the moment, BotF being one of them. You can change them where you see a big list on the left and the planet values/animation on the right. You can then click on Mars and change it to M. If you wish to change the graphic to an M class planet or the planet Earth, choose any of the M class animations in the drop down box near/under/over the animation on the right. Hope my memory serves me right.

I would like to say that this UE Is awsome i can now officialy mod botf to my own liking im not sure about creating a mod but i sure do love modding botf it makes the game more intersting and thetys i agree with you on the animation bit you have to change the animation.

Planet Mod Advice
Hello im going to give you advice on how to mod planets.
On UE You go to Galaxy then Planets where it says all select either desert or barren. (Please note you have to select all numbers for changes to take place number example 372) On the right hand side where it says animation please choose earth Ani this will replace the barren planet to an earth lookalike i have uploaded an image to show you. I hope this will help you in what you need to modify planets some of the moderaters on here dont know how to do it properly but iv figured it out.

I deleted the duplicate topic in General Chat, this topic is sufficient. Maybe this will help some others out too

Re: Planet Mod Advice
where the number is, it is a simple text box. you can edit the number to any thing you want. but there is not much of a point of doing this. when planets are selected for unclaimed sectors it will not use planets with names. and if a named planet is not assigned to a major or minor (minors can only have 1 planet assigned to each minor) they are either renamed or not used.pal28 wrote:Hey Thunder wher is this option for planet names? all i see on ue is planet numbers not names i see star names on ue but not planet names
