Re: Tutorial: Install BotF on Mac OS X (Illustrated!)
Hey folks, I've been having the same issue where the screen flickers (for lack of a better term) and doesn't display anything unless I move the mouse around in the Home screen, intermittent areas of the galaxy map (regardless of Large or Small setting), Tech, Intelligence, and Diplomacy Screens.
HOWEVER: Immediately upon launching the trek app from PlayOnMac, I hit CMD + Tab to switch back to what I was doing in another window. Upon switching back to BotF via CMD + Tab, THERE WAS NO FLICKER ISSUE!!! HUZZAH!!!
I need to do more testing though but oh was I happy when that happened! Will report back folks, perhaps try it or share a better fix/work-around if you've found it!
System Info: Yosemite (10.10.5), MacBook Pro 13" (Late 2011), 2.4GHz Core i5, Integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000 (384MB onboard RAM)
PlayOnMac v4.2.9 (downloaded 1-2 days ago when I found this thread)

Re: Tutorial: Install BotF on Mac OS X (Illustrated!)
I have never used mac so I will only guess,
this might be a resolution issue?
Dose your monitor/video driver support the installed resolution?
what resolution did you install? 800x600, 1024x768, 1366x768, 1920x1080
does it work in a window? or is this just a CTD?

I never could get it to work in fullscreen on the Mac (I don't even have a Mac anymore).QuasarDonkey wrote: When the wine configuration loads, go the the Graphics tab, and check "Emulate a virtual desktop". This is very important, as the game doesn't work in fullscreen!

It also might be possible to run DxWnd in wine (launch game from DxWnd)?

Hello,
the instructions work very well...since I've changed to mac I was wondering how to get botf back...and it works perfectly, THX :-)
But still have another question and hopefully there is help:
Where/How to add the cheat mode "-Mudd" in that programm? Is it possible anyway?

thanks for your efforts.
Yes, I have an icon on my desktop...and I already tried to add "-Mudd" to it by renaming it. But it didn't work :-(
do you have an idea?

Re: Tutorial: Install BotF on Mac OS X (Illustrated!)
hello,
not quite sure if the right click in osx is the same than windows...but when I do so this is what comes:
-open
-show packages contents
-move to trash
-get info
-rename
-duplicate
-make alias
-quick look
-share
-copy
-clean up selection
-show option view
----------------
reveal in windows
reveal in finder
so this is the menue that come when I "right click" the icon. Normaly, you can ad the "-Mudd" in Windows under properties and under the target line and thats it....but i realy wonder if this is possible in Mac osx or better said with "PlayOnMac" app anyhow.
have a suggestion?
