Where do I unzip this?

you need to add ships with UE, here is a tutorial.

Great links. However, What directory do I unzip the UE? Into the Vanilla or ECM files under the botf directory?

UE is a java platform portable executable. it can run from most locations. example I have it in "My documents" in a folder name UE.
