Please add the scaling feature to the dev game. If I set it as 85% there is no need to hide the galaxy overview map.
I am using it all the time and don't think it causes any issue.

I use Powertoys instead of the built-in windows' window zoning that let me set like a 16:10/closer to 4:3 'main' part of my UW, and can then keep MPC/ file explorer to the side, but XNA (?) REEEAAAAALLY hates not running in fullscreen (I have 13 colonies in this one game and it WILL crash if I try to start shipbuilding on every damn one)

A manual way to adjust the built-in UI scaling without having to use window resizing because i'm in fullscreen in order to NOTCRASH, basically?
Which version of the game are you playing? The "normal" version, or the 3d combat engine version? If you're playing the CE version, it's already there. Just go to the main settings menu -> Graphics -> UI scale override.

If you're playing the normal version, we could add it there too. Iceman seemed lukewarm to its necessity when I added it to the CE version, but I could just be misinterpreting emails etc.

I haven't tested the scaling feature extensively so let us know if you run into any issues with it.
Normal, not-the-CE. is the CE version any different?

Also what seems to annoyingly work is going fullscreen at the start of each settingshipsbuilding run, then ending after that because the galaxy map is squished to very very small portion of the screen with the left side UI far too big due to the Ultra-wide. I mean it's ridiculous considering that It's a 3440x1440 resolution, when in some games I have to set a lower resolution in order to make ui elements not-tiny, but then encounter the bullcrap of not-quite-matching the ratio, so some feel vertically squished, others feel horizontally squished.

Yes. The CE version is actually more advanced now, with some new features (extra starting systems), fixes (Victory Conditions) and some improvements.

Yes, UW is not ideal, but from this I wouldn't say it is all that bad. Do you have examples of those situations you find to be the worst? Can you post pics in that thread I linked please?
It's hard to understand the issues without visual feedback.

The issues @4K I think have all been addressed.

Next patch will include some improvements:

- if one of your native colonies is trading with a given colony, you will now be able to set a trade route from a non-native colony to that same (foreign) colony
- AI civs will not be so conservative with their credits for diplomacy, which will hopefully make them be faster at getting minor civs to join them

Sure.
Done.
Like Misfire previously said, it needs to be properly tested, especially at UltraWide.
(*)

Also made a couple more minor tweaks, besides those mentioned above.

I have uploaded the patch, but for some reason it does not register in the Downloads page. Danijel will have to sort it out.

(*) Does anyone actually use the Enable Dialog Animations ON :?:
I find it too "sudden" and distracting, so I always have it set to OFF. Maybe it should be a single, smoother animation?

Replaced the patch with a less "artistic" version of the dialog animations.
Please check and provide feedback.

Great to see you're still at it mate. :) I've really gotta try your latest release and see how it compares to the one I covered in 2017!

Hi Blake! Glad to see you back to the Supremacy forum!
You will really like all the improvements made since 2017. Check out Misfire 's combat engine, it's awesome.
And all the new stuff that has been added and improved since that video you made. Maybe it's time for a new one.

Yup still around haha.. been busy over the last few years on my own mod projects.

Oh yes.. wow.. I love your new website! And I can see the screenshots of the combat engine, that looks really good, very cool stuff! Well done guys! :)

Is the combat engine still separate from the main game at the moment? Cause once they're together in one game I'll definitely need to think about getting off my butt and doing a new video haha.
