Re: Admiral Chat
It's funny, while rewatching Enterprise, I came to the conclusion that at that time they lined the inner hull with rocks and sand, at least it looks like it when some explosion or like happens on it, sand and rocks are thrown out of it at that time.

It's a double defense feature:
- extra hull protection layer if the polarized plating fails
- provides ingredients to load classic Kirk-style bazookas against Gorn boarding parties
I don't know how many bugs is too many but that point is reached somewhere before however many in BotF is.

This explains why the matter is so pressing.

Indeed.
I'm guessing Thunderchero's car is Thunderstruck , electrical perhaps (in desperate need for some AC/DC).

Be aware Romulans are vulgar folks, on the slightest pretence they will give you the [war]bird.

Re: Admiral Chat
TBH, I had to google that "give somebody a bird".
But, another matter comes at hand, what's this Star Trek Fleet Command they're throwing at my face everytime I get in facebook?
A new version of Armadas perhaps?

If you're not regularly around urban native speakers, watching movies and series in original with english subtitles is quite educational.
I picked 'the bird' up way back from Top Gun, I think.
Dunno about Star Trek Fleet Command, looks like a cartoonish browser game.
But good thing they don't bother you with it in BottomBook, otherwise you can guess where they try to shove it in...

I guess it would tickle
Do you know what a phlegmatic army lieutenant said when he got promoted to captain?
- "I suppose I could use the company".

I've wondered this thing of the USS of U.S. ships, why there is no such abbreviation for spaceships too, like the shuttles for example, they could have used a different, American Space Ship, or ASS abbreviation.
Well, that can be fixed now, when NASA's pushing for the moon again, maybe they could use some parts from SpaceX programmes in their rockets, therefore they could name the first megarocket as ASS The Smell of Musk.
