FYI - Extended phaser fire sound sent to Iceman.
Let me know what you think. The beginning is new, maybe you won't like it, but I can cut it.
Overall it runs around 5.7 seconds. Without the new beginning it should be around the 5 sec mark.
Also, there are a few other sounds you might be interested in. Like cloaking, uncloaking, warp engage (for retreat), explosions..
Let me know what you need.

Ok, so Danijel has everything ready on his end now, and I'm just waiting on Misfire to confirm if I should upload the current build or wait for another fix he was working on.

Don't forget that you can use CTL+F in the galaxy screen to add fleets (for all empires), to test combat - please test all ships' stats, and check if any changes are needed.
Oh, and BTW, while at it, check out Danijel's amazing site for Supremacy:

Danijel reported a crash in the preview, here's the fix for it.
It also includes the fix for the AI empires slowing down their expansion.
Unzip it to the game's folder.

Just don't make the tactical camera default view like in BotF where one can hardly see what's going on in larger battles.

One can still keep the 'cinematic' default focus on a ship in the center of the own fleet, but there also has to be an auto zoom adjustment to ensure capturing most ships in the battle (except a few stray outliers).
Note I'm talking about first real-time view of the battle, playback mode can have more options for anyone's liking just as BotF.
